Squats for beginners are the greatest exercise for a bodybuilding workout for men. They’re the absolute best thing you can do to build great legs and a strong core!
When you do squats with the proper technique, they are great for all muscles in the legs including quads, calves, and hamstrings.
This video explains and demonstrates how to do squats, the proper way. It’s also done in a funny fitness way to add some gym humor.
Start off a little lighter until you get warmed up. I usually start with 650 for about 20 to 30 reps.
Okay, grab the bar with your hands about shoulder width apart.
Duck below the bar and step forward.
Rise up and support the bar on your upper back.
The bar puts a lot of pressure on the back of your neck and shoulders especially when you do as much weight as me, so you might want to wear a weight belt.
With your feet about shoulder width apart, take a few steps back.
Now squat downward, keeping your back as straight as you can.
Bend down as far as you can. Squats work best the lower you go.
Rise back up all the way and repeat for as many as you can.
Make sure you do 20 to 30 reps for at least 4 to 12 sets
