 Who am I? I was a typical Aussie bloke who loved eating anything and everything, the more protein the better. I would take a griller to work and prepare my lunchtime steak or if I wasn’t keen for a steak I’d take a whole BBQ chicken with a large pasta salad. My health was deteriorating due to my diet and because I loved a solid drinking session with my mates every weekend which then usually required a hangover cure of McDonalds and KFC. I hated veganism and everything about it, vegans pissed me off. I used to hate how they would force their beliefs on everyone, well that’s what I thought they were doing even though majority of them would just keep to themselves. As a challenge I decided to try going vegetarian for a month, after all I thought it wouldn’t be hard and I wanted to do it in spite of the vegetarian/vegan community to have some ammo next time I was confronted by an angry vegan or vegetarian just to say I had tried it before. Things didn’t go to plan I ended up feeling better then ever so I stayed vegetarian for two years until I saw a documentary called Peaceable Kingdom and from that day I decided I could no longer contribute to the dairy industry and I decided to go Vegan. I have been vegan since that day in 2014 and never felt better about my choice. If I can go from my old diet habits anyone can go vegan.
