Hey guys it’s Thomas here to show you guys a couple nutrition tips on how to transform your pre-workout meal into fat-burning fuel. Today is all about boosting your metabolism to utilize body fat as your primary energy source.

0:53 – So let’s get started with your pre-workout meal choice. My tip here is to try to not combine a protein and carb source as your pre workout meal. By doing this, you are making sure that your body is circulating blood to the muscles instead of to your digestive organs.

2:01 – The reason why I recommend guys to avoid eating protein and carbs together before working out is because the body can not efficiently break down these energy sources at the same time.

2:30 – This is why guys who eat big pre-workout meals tend to get a bloated, upset stomach during their training.

3:00 – What I strongly suggest guys to choose as their pre-workout food source is fruit. The energy from fruit is utilized rapidly.

3:40 – Now if you are in the gym and find yourself bored between sets, I’ve got a solution for you: stretching.

5:00 – What I recommend doing is stretching the antagonist muscle, or opposing muscle, to the body part you are training. If you are training triceps, stretch your biceps. If you are training back, stretch your chest… This will allow you to actually get a better contraction and pump during your working sets!

6:10 – Now, you can choose a high protein and high fat post workout meal, completely skipping the carbs, if you are looking to burn off body fat fast.

6:50 – And you are in luck because I’m going to show you a great, easy meal to eat after a workout: grass fed beef burgers.

8:04 – Here’s how you can make this recipe:
1. Coat your stove top pan with coconut oil
2. In a mixing bowl, add the beef with Himalayan pink salt, turmeric and combine the ingredients into patties
3. Add the burger patties to the heated pan (on medium) and cook until browned on both sides.

  2. it's simple if you want to gain lean muscle and target fat loss you need a health and clean habit of eating in the correct portions, eating those foods at certain times, and managing your cheat meals if you do them properly. if you do that and train hard then it's simple.

  3. I'm confused how does separating carbs and proteins by 15 mins make a difference. Doesn't food sit in your stomach for about four hours? So isn't all of it going there and mixing and then all is released to the small intestine?

  4. Why do his biceps looks so fake? If they are shaped like that in rest it usually means the use of some aggressive steroids. Now, I am not saying he's on roids, but it does look really off somehow.

    I am body building but at an unaffordable rate. I understand that bodybuilding is very costly but there must be a way for people on a very tight budget. I'm 24 and I desperately want to get big and fit like you guys. Could you please upload a decent and lengthy video for all of us young guys who are aspiring to be ripped and big at an affordable cost? Please man, all of these other websites and Google are NOT giving a clear and straight answer.

  6. Hi Thomas. What should i eat after cardio workout? I do non fasted cardio in the morning. After i wake up I eat a high protein, high fat, low carb meal (usually scrambled eggs with some veggies), then i wait 1-2 hours, then i go walking.

  7. i usually take my whey shake in the morning but have to wait to workout cuz it takes long for it to digest. once i get done working out…i eat like 1-3 hours later it changes sometimes. i feel like im doing something wrong now that im paying more attention to pre and post workout meals and or supplements. should i take my shake 2x a day? if so, should i take one in the morning then another as a post workout supplement?
